:( bad blogger! bad blogger!!

it has been months, i know this. i am so sorry for not blogging more. i swore that in the new year i would and now it is march. almost april. where has the time gone?! it is 3:33AM. i'm still an insomniac but am currently seeing a sleep specialist. progress! nothing too exciting to report. i've been babysitting like a mad person and i just love it so much. a friend of mine just let me borrow a book called 'the happiest toddler on the block' and it is so interesting. i've even tried some of his techniques and they WORK. i guess i'll be super prepared for when i have kids of my own :)

a few weekends ago, i was walking around candler park with scooter...at the end where the golf course is, and they playground. i witnessed absolute chaos due to an ice cream truck driving by. well, stopping and parking right at the end of the playground. sounds like a good idea, right? wrong!!! kids were going CRAZY. screaming for ice cream, running toward the trucks - parents saying they didn't have cash - kids literally having meltdowns on the grass. it was horrible. that ice cream truck guy really made me mad. i know everyone's got to make a living, but COME on?! it really ruined what was a nice, sunny afternoon at the park for a lot of family's. i swear, if i had cash on me, i would have doled it out to any of those poor parents that needed it. scooter and i had to bolt at that point. he loves kids, but the crying and craziness was too much for him! haha.

hmmm...what else? i'm reading an awful lot these days. also my friend just started an international book club. the first book "the shadow of the wind" was amazing. this 2nd one..."the joke" by some czech author is...a little slower...

i promise to blog more...oh i'm also posting a picture of scooter and his buddy 'maus' next door. he is a presa canario. and is huge but scooter LOVES him. we can't even say his name without him bolting out the back door. there is a hole in our fence, and he always pokes his head in it, and if he sees maus, he wiggles through the hole so he can go play with him. too cute!
